N’Djamena (pronounced "injamina") is positioned in close proximity with Cameroon and the town of Kousseri. Earlier this year, in an attempted coup, many N’Djamena residents fled to Kousseri. In peaceful times (and most are), N’Djamena is hands-down the most popular place for Westerners to visit.
